The Concept of Youth Empowerment in Nigeria
Youth empowerment is a concept put in place by the government, non governmental organizations and some members of the public for a sustainable development so that when a youth learns a vocation and becomes qualified, he or she becomes a master in that vocation and that brings development.
Youth empowerment is manipulative when the youth become skilled in areas they have been trained or learned their skill or vocation, they become masters in their field and may employ others to work with them.
Youth empowerment entails ability of the trainer to have education to some extent to some extent to help in training other youths. Some level of intellectual work is required for youth empowerment , if not, the youths may not be able to acquire the knowledge that is required for the vocation or training.
Youth empowerment will also require some artistic skills. This is because any person without any knowledge of artwork cannot be empowered in the aspect of arts. But when a person has some skills in arts, he will be able to cope when empowered to do a greater work as an artist.
